Yin Yoga at Rasa Spa
Thursdays, January 11th, February 8th and March 8th, 2018 - 5:30-6:45
Yin yoga is a restorative form of yoga which has been developed to counteract the stronger and more active yang yoga styles which are practiced in most studios today. In these yin yoga sessions you’ll be guided through a series of ‘low to the ground’ postures that are held for several minutes. You may be seated, lying down or in low lunges and some props may be used to assist you. Due to the long held nature of the yin yoga poses, the ligaments, joints and bones are affected as much as the muscles, so the body has the time and ability to increase the strength, flexibility and vitality of these body parts which are so important to our well-being. While poses are held, you’ll be mindfully guided through your breath and will find that by the end of the session you feel deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. No prior yoga experience is necessary. $15 per class. Please sign up ahead of time by calling Rasa Spa at (607) 273-1740.
